Everything exceeded our expectations. From the comfortable, spacious accommodations to the delicious meals (including the vegetarian specials), it was excellent. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and their enthusiasm for the activities shone through. And the guided hike was very enjoyable. The scenery was some of the prettiest I've seen in Japan, and Kiwis are used to stunning scenery so that is saying something. It was like walking through Totoro country. My husband was very impressed and is planning to take our kids back during the snowboarding season.
