Since it has been snowing alot at the side of Japan Sea, we got waist high powder here at Norikura-Kogen.
今夜も降り続き、明日元旦も丸１日降るようです。
It will be snowing over night and keep snowing all day tomorrow.

スタッフのバックカントリートレーニングが先週末行われました。
We had a backcountry training last weekend.
当日はかなりの降雪があり、乗鞍岳のコンディションもかなり良かったようでが、この数日は晴天が続いています。

昨夜はローカルの方々とクリスマスパーティを行いました。こちらはノースをイメージしたジンジャーブレッドハウス。
We had Christmas Party with local people last night. This is the ginger bread house imaging “NORTHSTAR”.
新しいオリジナルビーニー類も入荷しています。今のところ数が少ないので、お早めに。
New original hats are arrived. We do not have many now. They would be rare items.
今日はカモシカコースがオープンしました。これで乗鞍高原は”鳥居尾根”以外はほぼ前面オープンしたことになります。
Kamoshika Course opened today. It means that most of courses of Norikura-Kogen opened except “Tori-One Course”.
カモシカのさらに上のツアーコース入り口にはすでに何本ものトラックが。ノーススターのスタッフも何名かバックカントリーに入ったようです。その様子はまた後日。
There are some tracks already at the entrance of “Tour Couse” above Kamoshika. Some of our staff have been to backcountry today. It will be up on this blog soon.
雪上講習の前に机の上でお勉強。基本事項とインストラクターとしての心得を再確認。講師はこちらのスクールの校長兼バートンLTRアドバイザーの杉本さん。
Before we had “on snow” training, we the had lecture session to make sure the basics. The lecturer is Mr. Sugimoto who is the principal of this snowboard school and also a BURTON LTR advisor.

午後は特にキッズLTRのトレーニング。キッズにはフラフープやコーンを使い、安全に楽しいレッスンが必須。ちなみにこちらのインストラクター”くまちゃん”はキッズのスペシャリスト。レッスンDVD

We had special Kids LTR training in the afternoon. As using some items, safe and fun lesson are necessary for kids. By the way this instructor, “Kuma-chan” is a kids specialist. She is the main instructor of lessson DVD
“Kids Snowbaord”.

ノーススターでは昨年よりBURTON LTRを導入しました。LTRセンターとして認定されたロッジという意味ではおそらく世界初でしょう。今年はよりパワーアップして皆さんをお待ちしております。

一昨日から降り続いていた雪が積もり、兎待ちコース&林間コースがオープン。
Since it had been snowing for two days, we got more snow. Now “Usagi-machi Course” and “Rin-kan Course” are open.
午後からLTRレッスンのスタッフトレーニングの後、パウダーをヒット。午後3時過ぎでもフカフカのヒザ下パウダーが残っているところはさすが乗鞍。
After staff training for LTR lesson, we hit powder. Even it was after 3pm, we could get fresh puffy knee deep powder. That’s all about “NORIKURA”!
乗鞍高原スキー場最上部かもしかコースももう少しでオープンといったところ、パトロールのトラックが見えます。
Kamoshika Course at the top of Norikura-Kogen Ski Resort is almost ready to open. You can see ski tracks by patrols.
第１クワッドリフトが昨日からオープン。夢の平コースは滑走可能。
Since No.1 Quad Lift has been opned from yesterday, “Yumenotaira Course” is open.
ただ遊びで滑っているわけではありません。今日から本格的なスタッフトレーニング開始。
It is not just riding for fun but for our staff traing.

本日、乗鞍高原スキー場がオープンしました。こちらは休暇村下部トリプルリフト沿いパノラマコース。
Finally, Norikura-Kogen ski resort is open today. Below is Panorama Course along the triple lift of Kyuka-mura.
こちらは”やまぼうし前”パラダイスコース。やはり乗鞍の雪はさらさらパウダーで最高! 休暇村のほうが比較的雪質が良かったようです。今晩から明日の午前中まで雪の予報なので、明日のコンディションはさらに良いでしょう。
Below is Paradise Course in front of the restaurant “Yama-boshi”. Norikura powder is so dry and light. It is the best. We thought that Kyuka-mura was little better at the snow condition. Wether forcast says “it will snow utill tomorrow”, so we can expect better condition tomorrow.
パラダイスコースにはボックスとレールが設置されています。今年はファーストチルドレンも関わっていいパークになりそうです。
There are a box and a rail at Paradise Course. First Children is getting involved at the park this year and it will get better.
オープニングセレモニーの後に豚汁も振舞われました。来場者も多く、にぎわいました。
We had the opening ceremony and Ton-Jiru was served to all guests. Lots of guests came and had fun.
今日は朝から良い天気です。今シーズンはこの時期から良い雪がついているので、特にバックカントリーは期待できそうです。初めての方でも参加できる
