先日、東京の
BURTONショールームで行われている小売店向けのBURTONディーラーショーへ行ってきました。入り口にはスノーマンとスノーボードをリサイクルしたスカルノオブジェクトが迎えてくれます。
We visited
BURTON Dealer Show in Tokyo on the other day. Big snowman and skull object which is made out of recycled snowboards welcome you at the entrance.
シーズン真っ最中ですが、早くも09シーズンへ向けての商戦はスタートしています。詳細はまだお知らせできませんが、意欲的な商品が並んでいました。レンタルのLTRも更なる改良がされています。
It is right middle in the season though the bussines for 09 season has been started already. We cannot tell you the detail but there are so interesting stuff. Also rentaly LTR products are refined as well.
最近はMTBの話題が少ないですが、ディーラーショーの前後にはバイク関連のミーティングもありました。

トレイルストア も伺いました。こちらは店長の和田さん。元全日本ダウンヒルチャンピオンです。
We do not talk about MTB these days though some meetings were held before and after the Burton Dealer Show. At
A&F, distributor of
Rocky Mountain Bikes, the meeting about rentals for coming season and also some other things for outdoor sports were held. Also we visited well-know bike shop in Setagaya,
The Trail Store. This is the shop owner, Wada-san, former MTB DH nationl champion.
この3連休はキッズキャンプが行われました。
We had Kids Camp in this weekend.
ウ〇コ座りではなく、ストレッチをしてます。
It is not sitting like gangs do, but streaching.

BURTON LTRで初心者にも丁寧に指導。

もちろん上級者はパークでのジャンプ、ボックス等も指導します…
We supposed to teach jumps and jibs in the park for advanced riders…
ところが、残念ながら今回はコンディション不良のためフリーライディングとジブのレッスンがメインになりました。
… but we could not do it because of the bad snow condition.
夜はみんなでクライミングに挑戦。大切なことはどこまで登れたかではなく、チャレンジすること
As the night activity, we challenged wall climbing. The important thing is not how high they can get but to challenge.
雪のコンディションは必ずしも良くはなかったものの、みんなでチャレンジして楽しんだ3日間でした。
The snow condition was not great but campers tried their best for riding and other activities.
最後は”セレブレーション”=終了式。ジャンケン大会でノーススターオリジナルグッズをゲット！
We had “Celebration” as we close the camp. Also “jan-ken comp” to get NORTHSTAR original goods!
最後にお父さんお母さんも一緒にみんなで記念撮影。今回は小中学生13人が集まりました。次回は
3月22日（土）-23日（日）の2日間です。皆さんの参加をお待ちしています。

この数日はかなり晴れて、雪に覆われた乗鞍岳を望むことができます。バックカントリーにも行かれた方も多かったようです。後数日はこの晴天が続きそうです。
It has been fine for a couple of days. It seems like many of people have been to Norikura backcountry. The weather would be like this next week too.
この年末年始は比較的キッズ（小4生以上）の
LTRレッスンが多かったようです。写真の子達はまったくの初心者でしたが、合計4時間でS字ターンができるようになりました。ノーススターはおそらく日本で唯一英語でもレッスンが受けられるLTRセンターです。来週末は
キッズキャンプです。まだ若干の空きがあります。
We had more kids
LTR lesson than adults in this holiday season. These kids on the picrure were totla beginners but they can do S-turns by the end of total 4 hours of lessons. Probably, NORTHSTAR is only LTR center which is available for English speakers. We are going to have
Kids Camp next weekend. We still have little more openings for it.

A quick person would take 2 hours and even a slow person would take a whole day to learn conecting turn with BURTON LTR.
