This season We’ve been having so much snow!!  First day when the ski resort opened I was thinking “Oh No!! We don’t have any snow!!” But  It’s been snowing many times since from Christmas, and It was snowing so much today and also tomorrow should be snowing a lot too. So everyone please enjoy Happy New Year Powder Day!!

“Earning your turns!” … and what a view!  In a fast food society, earning your turns is so “old school” yet that is what Yamaken and I did.  Check that view!

On a beautiful blue bird day, we climbed up to see what the conditions of the snow pack was like and to evaluate the stability of the terrain was.  No doubt, due to the fact of Norikura’s high elevation the snow pack had great bonding and had a high percentage of safety.  Backcountry is about percentages… I wonder how many people spend the time to dig a pit, evaluate the snow and then enjoy the ride.  Safety first and then… have fun!

Hey all you snowboard video fans. We just finished our “WHITE FUN” video trailer. You can check it out on our YouTube Channel or on our Facebook Page. We will be producing a longer film during this winter season and putting it out in the spring. We hope you will enjoy the film and get stoked about snowboarding.

Finally, we are going to open the park from December 26th. We put 3 items at the top of the quad chair lift  for now, but we are still going to put more items out. Please bring your friends and have fun together!!

We are planing to start putting out more items from the beginning of January for the Indy Park. We will also put some more items at The “N” Park as soon as we get enough snow!!

At the same time we are going to open our Northstar’s yard too. So if you would like to come over and have fun please stop by Northstar!!

Today was World Snowboard Day. We had treasure hunting event which you can get BURTON products.

It was a light snowfall though over 50 people joined this event. We hoping that everybody would enjoy snowboarding more with this event.

Do you know what day Dec. 20th is?  It’s little too early to be Christmas. The answer is WORLD SNOWBOARD DAY.  There is the event this day  called WORLD SNOWBOARD DAY sponsored by BURTON. This event will happening at 17 ski resort all over Japan. Our home ski resort NORIKURA Kogen Ski resort is one of them.

Registration will start at 9:00am by Yamaboshi ticket center. After you answer a questioner the ” Find the Red Flag!!” game will start.  You can receive a prize from Burton if you find it.

The mountain has lots of fresh snow from the last couple days. It’s amazing powder now.

Please come and join this event as you start your winter season!!
