4/1 Last Winter Backcountry

Norikura-Kogen Ski Resort closed last weekend though many of people went up to the backcountry and there were more people than the ski resort.
CORAL, Surf and Snowbaord shop in Osaka had backcoutry tours. Hiking up from the top of the ski resort(1900m).
It was fine and our body temparature went up. At those hiking situations, patagonia Capilene Series are so popular among our guests and staff. The staff in the picture wears Capilene 2. They are breathable and if you get sweat, it would dry so fast. Also you can wear Houndini over so that you can protect yourself from the wintd and sow when you hike.
We hiked up to 2500m high and rode in the bowl of Kuraigahara Hut side.
We had lunch at Kuraigahara Hut.
After the lunch, we planned to hike back up to the ridge. But since it was getting bad weather, back up to the t our course and rode a natural hlaf pipe at the secret spot.
…even though it was the end of the season, the condition was not too bad. We enjoyed the ride.
But it has been snowing since Sunday evening and we are back in the winter. Having 20cm of snow. Since Kyuka-mura is still open, we are enjoying last powder run. Also you can enjoy Spring Backcoutry Tour in May.
3/26 Kids Snowboard Camp & Spring Backcountry Tour

Kids Snowboard Camp was taken place last weekend. 8 kids riders joined the camp. Some of them could clear 5m and 8m kickers in the park. We are hoping them to be great riders someday not only with good techniques but also a good heart.
…and the detail of Spring Backcountry Tour has been renewed. We have more buses to Kuraigahara than last year. The seson will never end!
3/16 Seasons by The Collective Film

The winter season is almost ended and I started thinking about mountain biking more. Our director started road bike training from today. Many of MTB filsm have been released already thorugh, finally 3rd film from the Collective will be in stores. Probably Chanmpion Visions will distribute it in Japan. The teaser is on the Collective home page. It looks soooo nice!
3/15 Backcountry

We went to Norikura Backcountry.
4 hours hike to the ridge around the peaks. It has been warm and had no snow, the trail was packed and it was easy to hike up.
It was a great weather and tempeature went up to 2℃.
The pictures look good but the condition was not that good. The snow was hard and crusty. It is almost like a spring mountain in May.
But I just put some good looking shots here.
2/23 Taste of Hawaii

We have variety of drinks since we have variety of nationalities for our guests. This picture is beers. German beer, Dutch beer and Hawaiian Kona beer are here. You might be reminded of Kona Coffee for Hawaiian drinks but there are also coffee tasting beers. Please try them at NORTHSTAR.
2/21 Other than snowboarding

We offer not only snowobaridng but also many other programs and activities.
As a program, snow shoeing is it. This is from180 camp on the other day. Looking at flozen Zengoro fall is amazing experience.
As a local activity, we offere English class everey Tuesday. We are having fun with games, etc.
2/20 Norikura Bomber Jam

We had Norikra Bomber Jam 1st Slope Style at the snow park of the ski resort.
Over 50 people registered the comp and Jam style qualifier was heated up.

10 competiters made the fina. From NORTHSTAR, only Daniel made it.
We supported the comp with providing hot chocolates, hot dogs and crazy cheering.
2/15 N* PARK

The NORTHSTAR PARK in the front yard has been open.
We open it from7pm to 8:30pm on every Wednesday. We can open it on weekends also, if you request.
Items are Rail, Flatdown Box,..
…and Flat Box. Also this season, we got platforms for drop-ins.
Also Quarter Pipe.
Norikura Bomber Jam 1st (Slope Style) will be taking place at Norikura Kogen Ski Resort this weekend and SFC Rail Jam will be taking place at NORTHSTAR PARK on March 8th Sat. We will welcome you to join to be on the comp and also to be watching.
2/14 BC Jump Session

NORTHSTAR staff work hard and play hard. Since we got lots of snow this week, staff made a kicker in the backcoutnry,….
…and had a jump session!
Since the landing is soft fresh snow,….
… you can try tricks that you cannot do usually and go big.
But if you do not stick the landing, you would be like this.
