Do you offer lodging only? Do we have to join a camp?
Yes, we do.

Can I rent equipment there? 
Yes you can.  NORTHSTAR has Mt. Bike, Snowboard, and Showshoe equipment and there are various shops in the resort. 

What are the accommodations like? 
NORTHSTAR is a rustic, adventure based lodge. We have both tatami mat (Japanese style) and bunk rooms. 

My family wants to come but I am not a skier or boarder.  What can I do?
The answer is, plenty!! You can walk, snowshoe, and bask in the beauty of the Alps, from the warmth of the lodge or soak in the extravagance of an outdoor, hot spring which is only a two minute walk from NORTHSTAR.

I am a student.  Can I come without my family?
By all means, but your parents will need to sign a waiver form.

How large is the Lodge? 
It sleeps 45, has a comfortable dining room, large entry hall with a climbing wall, lounge, a games room with air hockey and other games as well as mens and women’s bath facilities. There is also a warm drying room for ski gear and clothes. 

How do I get there?
Many people choose to drive. You take the Chuo Expressway to Matsumoto Interchange and then it’s 60 minutes up the lodge. Good snow-tires or chains should be carried if you plan to come during winter season. Alternatively you can take the train to Matsumoto and one of our staff will pick you up for a small fee of ¥1000.
