RESERVATION PROCESS
NORTHSTAR’s reservation process is pretty simple and consists of the following three (3) steps.

1. Contact us via our Online Request Form or phone to check that the date you are looking for is available. At that time we will ask you for the following information. Please have these details ready before calling.
   - Name(s) of each person in the party
   - Mailing address
   - Contact Phone Number
   - Email address
   - Date(s) of your request
   - Size of your party (If you make a reservation as a group you will be billed as a group.)
   - Special dietary needs (There is a ¥300 surcharge for each vegetarian meal.)
   - Activities you would like to join (Please see our Activities page for more info.)
   If you will be joining an Activity, please give us your height, weight, and shoe size so we can prepare for your lesson / activity.
   - Riding Level (Snowboard & MTB only) – Please let us know your riding ability.
2. After we have checked that the dates you are looking for are available and that we can provide you with the Activities you would like we will send you a quote. Please check the quote and if you wish to book please send us the deposit amount to confirm your reservation. (The deposit amount will be stated on the quote.)
3. Once we have confirmed your deposit we will let you know and lock in your reservation.

DEPOSIT

We require a deposit in the amount of one night stay per-person to confirm your reservation. Please see the PAYMENT info below on how you can make your deposit.

PAYMENTS
1. Cash – We accept Japanese Yen in cash. Sorry we cannot accept any non-Japanese foreign currency.
2. Credit Card – We accept Visa, Master-Card, MUFG, NicoS, and DC cards when paying in person at NORTHSTAR.
3. Bank Transfer – You can send your deposit / payments to one of the following banks in Japan.

**If you will be paying with a credit card from an international bank please make sure that your bank knows you will be using the card out of your country.

CANCELATION
We have recently updated our deposit and cancelation policies. Please read them carefully and understand that when you make a reservation that is considered a legal contract.

If you cancel you reservation you may still be charged a percentage of the total bill.
30 days before-Deposit Amount, 7 days before-50% of the total bill, 72 hours before-80% of the total bill, 24 hours before-100% of the total bill.

CANCELATION – HI SEASON
Christmas – New Years Holiday, Golden Week, Obon
45 days before-Deposit Amount, 2 weeks before-50% of the total bill, 7 days before-80% of the total bill, 72 hours before-100% of the total bill.

INSURANCE
Outdoor sports are inherently dangerous and there are risks involved. For your protection we recommend purchasing supplementary insurance while you are staying at NORTHSTAR. The cost is ¥800 per-person for up to 4 days of coverage.

The insurance will pay a maximum of ¥10,000,000 for a death accident,
up to ¥1,000,000 for emergency evacuation,
maximum of ¥10,000 for each day spent in a hospital,
plus up to ¥100,000, ¥200,000 ¥400,000 (based on the procedure needed),
up to ¥6,000 for an outpatient hospital visit.

TRANSPORTATION
Please let us know when you plan to arrive and if you need a pickup form the station.

SPECIAL NEEDS
Please provide us detailed information regarding, Rentals (sizes), Lessons (age/level), and Special dietary needs.

AMENITIES
We have a free games room with ping-pong, air-hockey, and foozball, Bouldering (short climbing wall), shuttle to and from ski resort. Shampoo and soap is provided in the bath house. Hair dryer is available at the front desk. Northstar also has towels for rent (300 yen per set, per stay).

MEAL TIMES
Breakfast is at 8am each day.
Lunch is at 12 noon (Groups Only)
Dinner is at 6pm each evening.

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT
Check in starts at 3PM.
Check out is at 10AM.

PASSPORTS
If you are a foreigner living in Japan and wish to stay at NORTHSTAR please be aware that the Japanese government requires us to take a copy of all foreign passports at the time of check-in.
