About the NORTHSTAR Lodge

We have changed so much over the years!  Starting off as a simple lodge, a place for youth … we have evolved into a funky, cool adventure friendly lodge for those who desire a family sensitive, international environment that is designed for holistic rest.

Why the name Halenoa?  We have a strong “island” feel in our lodge and especially in our dining room.  This is because of the Hawaiian impact on Dan and his staff and that this feel represents what we want to say.  When we think of Hawaiian hospitality many us think of leis, the beautiful beaches, the warm air, and the unique feeling of ALOHA.  That is what we want you to feel too!  The feeling of welcome, the beauty of the mountains, the enjoyment of clean, cold air, the feeling of  Aloha … the feeling of Ohana.  ALOHA means welcome, love, and thank you and the Aloha Spirit is what motivates all of our staff in their desire to serve you.

Back to Halenoa!  ”Hale” stands for house and NOA comes from NORTHSTAR outdoor adventures (noa).  You put them together and you get Halenoa or the “gathering place”.  We hope that NORTHSTAR’S Halenoa Lodge will become a gathering place for your family, friends, and fellow adventurists.  Welcome to Halenoa Lodge!
