Today we woke to some heavy rain at about 4am but that lifted by 5 and made for a beautiful start of the day. Over 3000 riders raced to the top of the mountain and the fastest time was just over 55min. That is an average speed of over 21kph. We had a good day cleaning up some down trees on one of the trails in Norikura on Saturday and then Sunday it rained. We ended up having a nice slow breakfast and then working on a new picnic bench in the NORTHSTAR basement. We are planning to build 3 more benches this spring so look for them this summer during MTB camps.
