We got about 20cm of fresh light powder last night that made for some great smiles today on the hill.
We had lessons in the morning with an early luch and then a short jam session in the park after lunch. The kids showed off their skills in the park with some 180s, jumps and spins on the wide box.
This years Kids English Camp was one of the best we have ever had with lots of kids stepping up every day and also challenging their English ability also.

I just found this cool short film that was all shot in Whistler Bike Park starting at 5000 feet doing down to the valley floor. We are planning to try and make this kind of film here in Norikura soon. I hope we can get enough time to shoot and edit something cool.
Today we woke to some heavy rain at about 4am but that lifted by 5 and made for a beautiful start of the day. Over 3000 riders raced to the top of the mountain and the fastest time was just over 55min. That is an average speed of over 21kph. It’s a rainy Friday here in Norikura but it’s busy. Everyone is getting ready for the surge of people who will be arriving tomorrow to register for the 26th annual road race hill climb up to the top of Mt. Norikura. Summer has finally come to Norikura and just in time for the Bon holiday. We are enjoying lots of MTB tours and many people are just coming to Norikura to enjoy the cool mountain air. It is about 16 degrees at night here and you will not need any AC, if you have a chance come up and say HI.
