This weekend we had 1 luck guest for the Ride & Cut weekend. We had a good day cleaning up some down trees on one of the trails in Norikura on Saturday and then Sunday it rained. We ended up having a nice slow breakfast and then working on a new picnic bench in the NORTHSTAR basement. We are planning to build 3 more benches this spring so look for them this summer during MTB camps.

Norikura | No CommentsI don’t want to sound like a bragging parent but my kid can rip. I should really say he will rip if he keeps at it and if I can get him on the mountain more. I took my son up for a mini session in the kids park at Mt. Norikura with one of our kids Burton LTR boards and he did pretty well. He was able to get up on his own and almost make a J turn. Ever since last year when he saw Shawn White in the Olympics he has been wanting to go snowboarding. And as soon as he took one run he asked me to build him a snow park and a big jump.
We are not officially taking “little ripper” lessons yet but we are in the process of creating some kids lessons for next season and we are taking some “case by case” kids lessons. Please inquire by phone or email from out contact page if your interested.
SFC Park Session at NORTHSTAR

Today was a short practice session and a few local riders turned out to jam with us. This year the NORTHSTAR park is the best it has been in years thanks to lots of snow this year. We will host the second SFC Jam Session on March 5th with a live DJ, hot drinks, snacks, Dinner (1000 yen) and of corse lots of people having a good time. We hope you will come out for the main event.
Santa Shreads Mt. Norikura

Kamikochi Colors

It was so beautiful and the Fall colors were looking good. If you have never been to Kamikochi you should make a point to get there in the fall or winter. Hiking on Sanbondaki Trail

I have not hiked down that trail in a long time and am more use to riding my Mt. Bike on it but we still had a good time hiking in the rain. I also hiked a section of trail for the first time and it was so beautiful.
