At NORTHSTAR we love events. We host and support many different events in and around Norikura Kogen throughout the year. Please see the complete list of events below for more info.

2010.01.10-11
The first Indy Park in Nagano will be open at Norikura Kogen Onsen Ski Resort! As the opening event, we will be offering free park lessons by Michiyo Hashimoto, former Olympian and also the producer of this park.
2010.02.07 & 2010.03.28
Once again this year we will have the "Norikura Hot Dog Jam" at The "N" Park (main park) of Norikura-Kogen Onsen Ski Resort. We will have this event two times this year as "Session A" and "Session B". You can enter with skis or a snowboard. The competition is a slope style jam session.

This year we will again host the annual SFC (Snowboarders & Skiers for Christ) Japan Park Jam in the NORTHSTAR park.
2010.05.01-05 (Sat to Wed)
We have had wired season beginning with tons of snow here at Norikura-Kogen Onsen Skiresort. But we still have snow and some riders might think they need to ride some more. Here is some great news for you.
2010.05.04-05
The last two days of the Norikura Spring Park will be the "SPRING FEST" to celebrate the end of the season. There will be a demo for next years snowboards, clinic and demo by pro riders, jam sessions, and more.
2010.05.29-30 (Sat-Sun)
The Mountain Bike Brand, KONA and local Hawaiian company KONA Beer present Shinshu MTB Ride. Trail Cutter, a MTB guide in Ina City, Nagano and NORTHSTAR from Norikura-Kogen, Represent Shnshu MTB guides and are collaborating to push the MTB scene in Nagano and Japan.

Ten-Ku (Sky High) Marathon which is that you can run highest road in Japan is waiting for you to entry.
2010.8.28-29
The annual hill climb or "Mountain Cycling In Norikura" event is one of the largest events held in Norikura Kogen. The village is full of road riders from all over the country including some of the top riders in Japan.
2010.09.11
The 35th annual world famous outdoor film festival, Banff Mountain Film Festival, is coming to Norikura. Over 300 films with themes like "mountain", "adventure", "nature" and "enviroment" compete from more than 30 countries for first place and other prizes are awarded to them.
Sep. 25-26 2010 (actual ride on Sep. 26 2010)
NORTHSTAR is stoked to offer you NORIKURA CENTURY Charity Ride (Lance Armstrong Foundation). The focus of this event is to (A) increase awareness of cancer research and prevention (all donations will go to LIVESTRONG), (B) ride with friends and make new friends, and (C) to be physically challenged.
