The word “hale” means “house or gathering place” in Hawaii and “noa” means “NORTHSTAR outdoor adventures”, so we get “hale+noa=Halenoa”. Our director, Dan Junker and his wife are from Hawaii and have brought the warm island culture here to the mountains of Norikura.
